My name is Alison J. Gordon, and I am currently studying Fine Arts Certificate III at the North Coast Institute of TAFE, Lisomre New South Wales Australia.
Throughout my life, art has been my one constant passion, my greatest means of expression, a flame that has now engulfed my inner being with it's radiant glow. I find great pleasure in exploring the world around me, it's colours, textures, beauty, strength and fragility. All these things fuel my emotions and my need to portray what I live and see through my art. From the tiniest dew drop on the grass, to the fragile state of humanity, from my own fears and insecurities to my greatest hopes and dreams, they are all my inspiration.
Using many mediums including oils, acrylics, pencils, conte crayon, charcoal and digital, I express myself through my work. Inside me is a passion to share with others all the beauty that surrounds us and resides inside our very being.
Biography:Born Lismore, NSW 1980
As A young child I had an insatiable desire to paint, draw and create. Through all my devotion, my drawing skills flourished, and during my school years, my ability was noticed and nurtured by my teachers. High school brought about a whole new challenge and although I did not manage to complete my study, I continued on in a greater capacity with my art. After the birth of my first child, I found constant inspiration in him, and so through observation, sketches and eventually oil paints, I developed skills in portraiture and an appreciation of the human form. I have continued with my practice, entering local competitions and exhibitions, and am currently studying visual arts at the North Coast Institute of TAFE.
